Twilio Messaging Policy: SMS, MMS, RCS, Conversations, and Third-Party Messaging Platforms:
- We redrafted the entire Twilio Messaging Policy for clarity and ease of readability.
- The Twilio Messaging Policy now covers messages transmitted via Rich Communications Services (RCS).
- We expanded prior consent requirements and provided more detail around those requirements (e.g., consent must be freely given, informed and unambiguous, with the option to withdraw at any time). We also added that you must proactively reconfirm consent as required by applicable law or regulation, when a significant amount of time has passed since initial consent was obtained, or when the subject matter of your messages changes.
- We added that you must retain and provide Twilio with proof of consents that you obtain.
- We added that buying, selling, renting, or transferring consent is explicitly prohibited.
Twilio Email Policy:** **We renamed the Twilio SendGrid Email Policy to the Twilio Email Policy and expanded it to cover all of Twilio’s email-based services.
