The Algolia DocSearch Plan is a free service available for indexing developer documentation and technical blogs on publicly available websites. These Algolia DocSearch Plan Terms and Conditions are incorporated into and form a part of your agreement with Algolia, including the Algolia Terms of Service available at https://www.algolia.com/policies/terms/, when you access and use the Algolia DocSearch Plan. The Algolia DocSearch Plan is provided as a Free Service in accordance with the Algolia Terms of Service.

Algolia DocSearch Plan

To gain access to the Algolia DocSearch Plan, Subscriber must meet the criteria outlined in the DocSearch Checklist, apply to the DocSearch program and be accepted into the DocSearch program. Algolia reserves the right to accept or reject applications for access to the DocSearch Plan in its sole discretion.

If Subscriber is accepted into the DocSearch program, Algolia will provide Subscriber with access to the Algolia DocSearch Plan to use up to 5,000,000 Records, 50,000,000 Search Requests per month and 5,000,000 resources crawled per month (“Usage Limit”) free of charge in accordance with the Documentation and the DocSearch Documentation, available at https://docsearch.algolia.com/docs/what-is-docsearch/ (the “DocSearch Documentation”), including any limitations set forth in the Documentation and the DocSearch Documentation. If Subscriber’s use reaches or exceeds the Usage Limit, Algolia may either degrade or suspend the DocSearch application until Subscriber adjusts usage to fit in the Usage Limit.

Algolia may make certain add on, paid features available to Subscribers with a DocSearch Plan. If Subscriber elects to use those paid features in connection with Subscriber’s DocSearch Plan, Subscriber will be asked to agree to additional terms and input payment information.

DocSearch Plan Limitations

The Algolia DocSearch Plan is subject to (i) a maximum size per record limit of 100 kilobyte, (ii) a maximum data size of 25 gigabytes per application, (iii) a maximum per index size limit of 25 gigabytes, (iv) a maximum of 20 indices, and (v) a maximum of one (1) application for the DocSearch Plan. If Subscriber exceeds any of these plan service limits, Algolia may either degrade or suspend the DocSearch application until Subscriber adjusts usage to fit plan service limits.

Algolia does not provide support for the DocSearch plan. Algolia may terminate the DocSearch plan at its sole discretion.

Subscriber Responsibilities

In order to gain and retain access to the DocSearch Plan, Subscriber must:

Continue to meet the criteria outlined in the DocSearch Checklist;

  • Only use the DocSearch Plan with domains that Subscriber owns or otherwise has the necessary rights and consents to allow Subscriber to use DocSearch on; and

  • Place Algolia’s logo, which links back to Algolia.com, in a visible place on Subscriber’s website, either on the search box or in the autocomplete panel of the search experience.

If Subscriber fails to comply with its obligations set forth in this “Subscriber Responsibilities” section or indexes content with Algolia that does not meet the DocSearch requirements, Algolia may, without limiting any other rights or remedies, block the provision of DocSearch to Subscriber.

Crawler

To index records with the DocSearch Plan, Algolia will provide Subscriber with access to Crawler subject to the limitations set forth in the Documentation and the Self-Service Crawler Terms of Service available at: https://www.algolia.com/policies/self-service-crawler/ (“Crawler Terms of Service”). By accessing the DocSearch Plan and using Crawler, Subscriber agrees to the Crawler Terms of Service.

Inactivity

If your account remains inactive for more than 30 days, Algolia may remove your Subscriber Data.
